I dare you!! or myself...?

I found this blogpost: 50 FABulous "I dare you's..."
and I really loved it and found it very inspirational!

What I already dared to do =

introduce yourself to your neighbors
go out today without any makeup on
share a secret about yourself with someone
keep a journal
call your mother
climb a tree
ask for help
make love with the lights on
buy something at a flea market
call in sick
visit an adult only shop
spend all day watching movies
buy sexy underwear
write a poem
send a handwritten letter
sleep in past noon
rent a dirty movie

What I would love to dare in the near future!
throw away your clutter --- very very much on the top priority's right now!
attend church services of another faith -- looks interesting, now figuring out how to!
sleep in your backyard -- perhaps in the very near future, with the kids, I know for sure they are going to love it!
go salsa dancing --mhhh?? yesyes
reconnect with a long lost friend --- I have a list in my mind with all those interesting people.... I should search contactadresses....?
go skinny dipping
laugh out loud in a library
toss out your tv for a month --- this would be a cure for overload, perhaps the pc can go to?
buy something for you
tell someone what you love about them --- actually I've done that, but I think it would be nice to do it more, and more and more....
play twister with a group of friends --- (and taking some pictures of it!! hahaha!)
organize your photos -- to do list top 3
forgive yourself
change your hair color ---why haven't I tried this before?
crash a wedding --- sound like fun
serve at a soup kitchen -- or just do some volunteering work somewhere for people who have'n got the same luck a I
say "I love you" to yourself in the mirror
buy an outfit from goodwill --- I'm planning to do this.....

Still on the list (for very far away future ? ;-) )
get a full physical exam
get the number from someone you want to get to know more
cry in public
tell someone what you fear about yourself
get screened for HIV and STD's
throw a toga party
own up to something
go commando
throw a private temper tantrum
change your hairstyle
go to a rodeo
go parking with your lover
get to know someone you dislike
dress up when its not Halloween
throw away your scale

and remember - it's the small things that mather! So get inspired and make your own list!!!

This is a sign! and cute bead craft project!

I just found this on the internet, while surfing some inspirational blog - this sign made me smile! So funny. Here in Belgium, there's a campaign from the catholic church, with a picture of chairs in a row, with one chair in a different color and the text says: I've been waiting for you for a long time, signed; God. I think this image, and the words with it, give a strong message! I really loved it! I was looking the net for an image to share, but no luck.
Yesterday I made a little bead craft project with my oldest son! And it was so simple - even to simple to make a tutorial out of it. All you need : some glass recipients (I took some yoghurt glasses), metal thread, glass beads and a willing 6 year old!

So this is the result!

and my lovely guy, was even willing to pose with his project!

and then he wanted to make an photo himself of his craft p^roject. So here it is, and look! We are also featured!!! (left top corner!!!)

We had lots of fun making these, then ligthing the candles and making pictures, and the favorite part - blowing out the candles again!
If you have another wonderful easypeasy craft project to share, please link me up!!
bye!

What I have been up to! + great banner ideas

Seems my blogging is pretty lame lately. But I've been busy as hell. Meaning at work mostly, family life also, and I had scrappers block so I surfed the web and found some inspiring things I would love to share with you!

First I've managed to surprise Kim De Smet, from Kim De Smet Designs. I'm in her Ct team and it's very quit on her blog and forum. Because she's expecting a little baby brother or sister for her daughter Roxanne, all her energy goes to the little one, and she has none left to design. So I asked some Ct members to contribute a page abiut Expecting, and I made a lovely blogpost on het blog to cheer her up!! Mission accomplished!!!
This is the page I did...

... want to see the other pages the Ct team made, just take a look here : Kim De Smet Blog!

On my surfing trips, I stumbled upon some great DIY ideas for beautifull banner, to pimp your house during a birthday, a dinnerparty with friends or just because you love to decorate!

How about a CELEBRATE banner, which I found on Once Web website.

I think it's an easy and whimsical idea to decorate for a special event. The DIY instructions can be found right here!

And how about making your own festive fabric banner you can use over and over again. Like this:

I found a great tutorial on the Stitch rip repeat blog. and another lovely tutorial on the V and Co blog.

But how about these for some more inspiration:
Great lace banner on Ravenhill blog

or this birthday style - an idea from craftzine

and I for my last project: I finally sat down to make a wonderful photobook to give as a gift. So I ended up with lovely designs from FeiFei Stuff - Make It count quickpages album and the digital kit.

Here are some pages from the book:

bye for now...
ow and I've purchased the dutch translation of the book Eat, Pray, Love from Elizabeth Gilbert - any-one has some ideas to share, i haven't read it yet

Ninascraps new blog and freebie quickpages

Ninascraps has a new blog. Her old blog was hacked, so she decided to make a Ct teamblog! And I think the team will have lot's of fun, and sharing is part of the fun. So head on over to this blog! There's a set of wonderful quickpages that you can download for free!! She also introduces her latest releases.

And I want to show of some lay out's I made lately. This one I have made for the Oscraps Spotlight challenge - it's a storewide challenge to put their wonderful collab kits in a new light! And now for the story of this lay out, we were on a holiday to the countryside. We stayed at a hotel where there was animation for the children. There was a lady who painted the childrens faces into anything they wanted to be. Merlijn asked to be a forestdevil. I think she did a great job and was very creative! Look how proud his face is!!!

For this lay out I used their recent collab Modern Art! It's gorgeous! and I don't know why but the Oscraps collab kits always make me happy! The collabs I like the most are, except from Modern art, Hopes and dreams, because of the topic and the color scheme, O'brother, because of the theme (I have two boys!) and Parisian holiday , because of the versatility to use it for travel pages and for artsy pages!

I also used a clipping mask from Ninascraps to clic my picture onto! clip.your.pic is one of her last designs. The challenge was to use a technique that you had learned from a oscraps designer. And If it's one thing I learned from Ninascraps is the use of those gorgeous masks for my pictures. I think it gives a real great and special feel to a lay out!
And I wanted to share another lay out I have made for a challenge at Oscraps - Copycat challenge. Also with lots of ninascraps goodies! Just clic the picture to be transported to detailed information!

I don't have lots of pictures of me with my children, because mostly i'm the one behind the camera, so when I have some pictures like this, I tend to treasure them!

So that's it for now! bye

Oscraps Birthday!

Do you like party's? I do, and I will be over at the Oscraps Forum to celebrate their 3 years existance! There are challenges, chats (also some good one's for european timezones!), lots of freebies, and tons of great prizes!!!

Some designers are having a sale as well. Being a CT member for ninascraps, I want to show you the way to her sale! click the picture. Happy shopping!

I have seen something very interesting. At this blog from Carin I saw she's reviewing designer kits. I like reading that and think it's a great idea. I wonder if I could do the same thing? Do you think there should be a checklist for reviewing a designer kit? Perhaps I should ask Carin, if she'dd like a companion for reviewing?
